As an international financial centre, many companies aspire to achieve their listing goals in Hong Kong. To provide a deeper understanding of listing-related information and to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the seminar “Hong Kong Listing Strategy” was organized by the Accounting Division of the Globe Chinese Entrepreneur Commission and co-hosted by CWK Global. The event, held on October 28th, successfully concluded with the active participation of over a hundred attendees. It allowed participants to gain a clearer understanding of the requirements and details of the listing process and better prepare themselves.
During the seminar, Ms. Evy Wong, the Principal Partner (Tax & Advisory) at CWK Global, served as a guest speaker and shared some hints and experiences to the participants on the tax considerations when going public, including pre-IPO compliances and some planning opportunities from tax perspective. Additionally, Mr. Li Hok Fung, the Vice President of the Investment Banking Department at ARTA TechFin, shared his experience in dealing with clients, Securities and Futures Commission, HKEX and various professional advisory teams over the years.
Through this seminar, participants were able to gain valuable insights and a better understanding of the advantages and challenges of listing in Hong Kong. It will help companies make informed decisions and prepare adequately for successfully achieving their listing goals in Hong Kong.
